The Caprivi Strip is Namibia’s green corridor: rivers, wetlands, and wildlife on the way to Victoria Falls and Chobe. This trip takes you from Windhoek through Rundu and Divundu to Popa Falls, Mahango, Nkasa Rupara, and Katima Mulilo.
Why go Birding, elephants, and a completely different landscape from the rest of Namibia. Nkasa Rupara (Mamili) is a wetland park best explored by 4×4; Mahango and Bwabwata offer classic game viewing. Katima is the jump-off for Victoria Falls and Chobe.
What to do Allow 10 days. Book lodges or camps in advance. A 4×4 is recommended for Nkasa Rupara. Popa Falls is a pleasant half-day; Mahango can be done in a day or with an overnight.
